Dr. Ebrahimnejad was born on January 1st, 1977 in Tabriz, northwest of Iran. He stayed there by the end of his secondary studies. He was ranked 5th in Countrywide scientific competition in 1992, which was a four-level competition at high school, region, province and country. He graduated from Safa high school with GPA 3.69 in 1994. Then, he entered to Faculty of Engineering at University of Tehran whilst he was ranked 76 in the country. He spent 1994-98 to study bachelor’s in Civil Engineering . In the last year of the college, he started working as a part-time engineer for Zist Qeshm Construction Company. He designed several concrete and steel multi-story buildings in a year. Before leaving this company, he designed 60 meter high minaret for a mosque in Qeshm city.
He received B.Sc. degree in September, 1998. In the same year, he was admitted to study Master’s in structural engineering at University of Tehran, while his rank was 23 in the country-wide entrance exam. Also, in this year he was invited to work in Harazrah Consulting Engineers. He studied Master’s while he was working as a bridge engineer for HR between 1998-2000. Moreover, he designed Hashemi Judicial Building in Tehran, a 6600 square meter steel structure for Ray-Fan Consulting Engineers in these years.
Dr. Ebrahimnejad received his Masters degree in structural Engineering in September, 2000. His Master’s thesis titled: “Nonlinear dynamic analysis of structures subjected to blast loading by modified mode superposition”. At the same year he competed in PhD entrance exam at three universities (UT, University of Tarbiat Modarres and Azad University), was ranked 1st in all of them and chose UT once more. The 2000-2007 years were very busy years for him, who was studying PhD in structural engineering at UT, working as head of structural division in HR consulting group and working as design manager for several consulting companies. Besides, he was active in several sports and was serving as captain of chess team at UT from 2001 to 2006. It is interesting that he managed to win college championship in 2004, to gain 2nd rank in 2006 and 3rd in 2003.
Dr. Ebrahimnejad left Harazrah Consulting group in August 2007. HR provided him an outstanding environment to learn and experience design of different types of structural systems of bridges. In the other hand, his employment was an exceptional opportunity for HR Company, since he designed and supervised design of over 150 bridges in 9 years and trained over 20 engineers. Meanwhile, he prepared lots of computer programs to design different bridge systems and presented to the company to be used in the future.
After leaving HR, Dr. Ebrahimnejad worked on his PhD dissertation titled “Applying wavelets to improve the Boundary Element Method for the elasticity problems” for six months. He defended his thesis on March 3, 2008 after publishing six papers in international journals. He presented a novel method to solving linear algebraic systems by using fast wavelet transforms, which is faster than traditional iterative solvers. He, also presented the application of wavelet-BEM in practical analysis of structures.
Dr. Ebrahimnejad founded Rah Tarh Paidar Consulting Engineers after leaving HR and worked actively in this company after receiving his PhD degree. He also put lots of efforts on design and supreme supervision of Javadieh Bridge in south of Tehran from 2007 to 2010. As a member of “National Foundation of Talents”, passed military services in Passive Defense Organization by presenting an analytical report on blast-resisting structures.
Dr. Ebrahimnejad has designed over 200 bridges and several industrial structures between 1997-2010, whilst at least twenty of them have been special structures. He has used all of the structures systems in his bridges except for suspension bridges.
